Our pro-tips and recommendations for extra add ons to your shed after delivery:
Electrical / Plumbing
Electricians and Plumbers usually charge between $75-$140/hr + permit cost ($65~) + materials. Find an expert or handyman near you and compare pricing. We do not recommend DIY'ing your electrical or plumbing.
Usually takes about 4-8hrs of work in one day depending on the type of electrical and/or plumbing you need.
***Be sure to make these decisions BEFORE adding in insulation. Especially if you want to do spray foam, electrical and plumbing will need to be done first usually before the walls are covered.***
Insulation
A handyman usually charges between $20+/hr, find one in your local area or DIY and purchase rolls of insulation from Lowe’s or Home Depot! All you need is a good box cutter, gloves, an insulation stapler, and a sturdy ladder. Watch expert youtube videos for this!
Usually takes about 1 hr per wall and 1hr for the ceiling, 4-6 hrs of work in one day!
R13 or R15 fiberglass batts in the walls
R19 fiberglass batts in the ceiling
R10 rigid behind vinyl skirting around the perimeter (optional for floor insulation)
If you will be living/sleeping in your shed, you might consider having it spray foamed instead for additional charge, but it can be pricey. $$$
Keep in mind that these are only general suggestions and recommendations. Your needs may vary from what we've listed here depending on the city/county codes for your property and what you will be using your shed for. Be sure to check with an expert first before starting any work on the inside and outside of your shed. Also, Graceland's manufacturer's warranties may be affected by some activities such as: drilling holes through the plywood walls/floors, DuraTemp siding on outside, through ceiling and roof, etc.... Drilling any holes can create a moisture buildup or leaking inside your shed.
